We can accommodate running groups of any size on race day
We are looking for fun, energetic people to lend a helping hand on race day! Volunteer jobs will include: water stations, post-race activities, finisher merchandise, food/beverage and much more! You can expect each shift to last about 4 hours.

Event to host compost and recycle bins
Provide Acceptable Materials list to all vendors and sponsors
Encouraging alternative transportation to and from the race
100% paperless registration
Use of Virtual Race Bags allows us to eliminate the use of thousands of pounds of paper
Reduction of run-off water waste with filtered hydrant water
Water Station cups will be Solo Bare Cups, compostable.
Participants will receive a sapling tree from Trees of Houston for you to plant in honor of your race victory!
Reduce and reuse event signage/printed materials where possible
Commitment to partner with local businesses to enhance the event
The 2017 Green 6.2 5K/10K run will be held Saturday, April 15, 2017.
The 2017 Green 6.2 5K/10K run will be held at CityCenter located at:

All 5K and 10K participants will be timed using a B-Tag which is attached to runner’s race bib.
We will run Rain or Shine! If there is lightening at the time of start, then we will delay the start for a reasonable time for safety.
10K Race Registration:
Regular Registration – 11/1/16 to 2/15/17 – $42
Late Registration - 2/16/17 to 4/14/17 – $50
5K Race Registration:
Regular Registration – 11/1/16 to 2/15/17 – $35
Late Registration - 2/16/17 to 4/14/17 – $40
Kids K Race Registration:
Regular Registration – 11/1/16 to 4/14/17 – $15 10K Race:
During registration you may choose to have your 5K / 10K bib mailed directly to you for $5.
You may also pick up your 5K / 10K bib at a bib pickup the week before the race (Date and Location TBA).
Should you lose or damage your BIB prior to race day, a $10.00 administrative fee will be required to obtain a new BIB.
Kids K Participants will pick up their materials on race morning

The 5K/10K starts at 7:45 AM. The kids run starting later in the morning at 9:15 AM.
Dogs, skateboards, rollerblades, unauthorized bicycles or any other wheeled devices are not allowed on the race course
The awards ceremony for overall winner (top 3 women, top 3 men in 5K and 10K) will take place at 9:00 am.
Yes, All registrants will receive a unisex finishers shirt.
5K/10K participants will receive a finishers medal. Kids K participants will receive a tshirt and a finisher medal.
Yes, Age Group awards will be given out in 5 year increments for both the 5K and 10K races beginning at 14&U, 15-19, 20-24… 75+
